| Process of Harvesting Red Beans |

| At initial growing stage, red beans take in less nutrients, but throughout the flowering stage, about 30 to 60 days after planting, they must take in enough nutrients. Otherwise, they will have poor yield. In soil preparation and bedding, the farmers should use a mix of ammonium sulfate, superphosphate and potassium chloride as a basic fertilizer to evenly spread in the field and then begin planting. In non-soil preparation, farmers should spread the fertilizer in the field after planting. A follow-up fertilizer, about 4~5 kilograms of urea, should be applied to each subdivision during the flowering stage. The amount of fertilizer is subject to change depending on actual situation. Farmers should not apply fertilizer to the leaves with dew to avoid damage. The red bean pods grow ripe from bottom to the top. Red beans pods become suitable for harvesting when their color changes from green to yellow, and becomes dry, and the yellow leaves fall off completely. By using beans to combine harvester, mechanical harvesting practices include cutting plants, collecting, threshing, sorting and bagging, completed in order. |
