Future Plans
¡@¡@In Fang Shan, someone was willing to donate the land rights to Mr. Liu so he could develop his career. He felt very grateful and lucky. However, in the beginning his career was not easy. At first, Liu Ting- Tsuan did some business to attract more tourists such as selling coffee and mango ice, setting up dormitories and areas for camping. Many people came to Fang Shan to appreciate the sculptures and enjoy the magnificent landscape. From then on, Fang Shan became a unique "steelart village".
¡@¡@Liu Ting- Tsuan made good use of the land. He wanted to present his thoughts on art in very different locations, including toilets. Take toilets for an example; some wing-bells were hung up above the toilet. Several bamboos surrounded it. Also, there was no roof in the toilet. This way, people could enjoy being in the forest. What a unique idea!
¡@¡@In addition, Liu Ting-Tsuan was devoted to preserving the art heritage. He planed to have tow artists living on the site. One of the artists was to be Taiwanese, the other foreign. They were provided food and accommodation, therefore, they could work on their creations. After accomplishing their works, they would present the sculptures in a public exhibition.
¡@¡@In addition, he hoped to hold an international steel-sculpture exhibition. In the future Kaohiung would become a unique ocean city of steel and art.
